The History of DMS

Chris Moore, Chief Executive Officer, founded Direct Mail Solutions in 1997.  There were two doors then: one to the entrance hallway and one to the living room. You see, DMS was originally located in founder and CEO Chris Moore's dining room.

The following year, thanks to Moore’s hard work and employee #1, VP of Operations Scott Tozier, DMS moved into a facility on School Street. At this location, DMS grew rapidly from a burgeoning start-up company to an established business with several million dollars of annual revenue. By 2000, our continued success forced yet another move to our current 64,000 square foot facility located at 2001 Dabney Road.

Along with its physical plant, the company’s capabilities have grown significantly.   From mag tapes and Cheshire labeling to FTP transfers and high-speed continuous lasering, DMS has stayed ahead of the technology curve, offering the latest data and mail production services. We provide such high-end services as high-speed jumbo inserting, digital print-on-demand, variable-weight manifesting, and precise fulfillment tracking.

Of course, all of this growth would be impossible without the 100+ partners who trust DMS to produce their mail right and on time. We work with Fortune 100 companies, prominent local businesses, nationally renowned marketing agencies, and some of the largest non-profit organizations in the country.
